Why I'm An IPad Tragic?
It seems to me that the world is broken up into two camps; those that love iPads and those that loathe them.
I have observed however, that those who loathe them generally speaking have never used one, or are so resistant to the Apple brand for 'ideological' reasons that it is impossible to have a logical discussion on the matter....mmmmm?
Well whether it's Apple, Samsung or whatever brand, 'Tablet technology' is the way of the future. If you don't want to become a techno dinosaur you might want to get with the program?
So here are a few reasons why I've become an iPad 'tragic':
Ask anyone in my family and they will tell you I have zero patience.
From a technical point of view I love the fact that you don't have to wait for your iPad to load - with a touch of a button and the swipe of a finger the iPad loads instantly. These days if I have to use my laptop I get an anxiety attack just waiting for it to load. (I know tragic).
Because the iPad is so light I can put it in my handbag - very important for women. This means I can blog, Facebook, Twitter and check my emails no matter where I am (yes my iPhone can do all of this too but I love the bigger screen).
I love the 'Apps' store - it's one huge virtual department store. In the old days we would go 'Window Shopping', these days I do 'Apps' shopping. And the great thing is that so many 'Apps' are free!
As an avid reader I absolutely adore the fact that I can download as many 'Ebooks' as my heart desires without leaving the comfort of my couch. Yes I know you 'bookasauruses' out there love your hardcopy books and nothing can replace the joy of walking through a real bookshop, yada yada yada, but hey I'm not going to pay $35.00 for a hardcopy when I can get an Ebook for a third of the price.
What's more you can download a free sample to work out whether the book is a dud or not, and let's face it there is so much crap out there today. If I was to rely on getting my books from the chainstore bookstores all I'd be reading is 'Vampire' novels!
I'm a great lover of music. I carry my 'Music Library' everywhere I go.
Then there is all the 'E' media out there, newspapers and magazines that you can subscribe to, also at a fraction of the hardcopy price.
Online shopping - I don't think I need to say much about this because we are all becoming converts to the joys of online shopping as much as the retailers resent us for using it.
Lastly my iPad has become my one and only 'Recipe' book. I just prop it up on the kitchen bench and away I go. Even if the screen gets a light dusting of flour, no problem, I just wipe it off.
My iPad has become another limb, or if you like my own personal PA.
I'm a self-confessed iPad addict, but there's no way I'm checking into 'rehab'!
